Womens Health Week is here and we want to celebrate with you!

Celebrate Women’s Health Week at Sista Fitness

Creating a space where women feel supported in their health and wellbeing has always been at the heart of Sista Fitness. This Women’s Health Week, we’re creating even more opportunities for our Sistas and wider community to learn, start conversations and put their health higher on the priority list.

This year’s theme, Do It Anyway, is about taking small, realistic steps towards better health. Because looking after yourself today is also one of the best things you can do for Your Future You.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing practical information, expert advice and real conversations around different areas of women’s health, with plenty of opportunities to get involved in our clubs.

What we eat plays an important role in how we feel, move and function every day. But with so much information around nutrition, knowing what’s right for you can sometimes feel more complicated than it needs to.
To Fuel is about bringing it back to basics. Nourishing your body, understanding what helps you feel your best and making informed choices that work for you. It’s not about getting everything perfect. Small, realistic choices can make a difference.

Movement comes in many forms, and every way we move our bodies is worth celebrating.

Moving regularly can support so much more than our fitness. It can benefit our heart and physical health, mental wellbeing, sleep and overall quality of life. And it doesn’t have to mean an intense workout. Walking, strength training, Pilates, Yoga, Group Fitness and everyday activity can all play a part.

To Move is about finding movement that works for you and remembering that it doesn’t have to look the same every day.

To Move at Sista

Today, we’re encouraging our Sistas to check in with themselves before they move. How are you feeling, and what does your body need today?

Feeling energised and ready for a challenge? You might choose a Group Fitness class, Functional Training or a strength session.

Feeling tired, sore or ready to slow things down? Try some lower-impact movement with Yoga, Pilates or a Wellness class, and make some time for Recovery afterwards.

There is no one right way to move. Listen to your body, choose movement that feels right for you today and remember that all movement counts.

We can’t wait to see you in club. Book your class via the Sista Fitness app today.

Rest and recovery are an important part of looking after your body, especially when you’re active. Giving your body time to recover can help reduce fatigue, support muscle recovery and leave you feeling ready to move again.
To Rest is your reminder that slowing down is part of looking after your health too.

Looking after your mental wellbeing is just as important as looking after your physical health.

Busy schedules, changing life stages and the everyday mental load can add up. To Breathe is a reminder to pause, check in with yourself and make space to reset.

Breathe with us, take one minute to try square breathing, a simple breathing technique to help you slow down and refocus.

Breathe in for 4 seconds
Hold for 4 seconds
Breathe out for 4 seconds

Repeat for 4 rounds, breathing gently and comfortably.

On the final day of Women’s Health Week, we’re celebrating the power of human connection in all its forms. Today is about the small steps that help us stay connected. A message to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, joining a community you’ve been meaning to try or catching up over a coffee.

Research tells us that social connection can have lasting benefits for our physical and mental health, helping us build resilience, feel supported and strengthen our sense of belonging.

But connection can easily fall to the bottom of the list. Busy schedules, distance, changing life stages and caring for others can all make staying connected more difficult.

To Connect is a reminder to make time for the people and communities that make you feel good.

To Connect at Sista

At Sista Fitness, we’re passionate about creating connection through movement. It might be the friend you train with every week, the familiar faces in your favourite class or the Sista you meet simply by showing up. Our clubs are more than a place to exercise. They’re a place to feel part of something.

Bring a Friend for Free!

For the final day of Women’s Health Week, we’re inviting you to share Sista with someone in your life. Bring a friend who hasn’t been to Sista Fitness before along for free on Friday 11 September. Train together, book a class or service, or simply enjoy some time at Sista together.

Preventative Health Checks

Preventative health is something we care deeply about at Sista Fitness. Being breast aware means getting to know how your breasts normally look and feel, so you’re more likely to notice if something changes.

Take a few minutes this Women’s Health Week to learn how to check your breasts, what changes to look out for and when to speak to your doctor.
